Authorities report that 23-year-old Khyseem Hall is currently in police custody following a fatal shooting that occurred at Wilmington Hospital on Tuesday afternoon, an incident that resulted in one death and left another individual injured. According to investigators, the event took place at approximately 3:30 p.m. on June 16 in Wilmington, prompting an immediate emergency response from officers of the Wilmington Police Department. Upon arrival at the hospital, law enforcement personnel discovered two individuals who had sustained gunshot wounds, indicating that a violent incident had occurred within or near the hospital premises. Despite prompt medical attention, officials confirmed that one of the victims succumbed to their injuries, while the second victim was transported to and remains under medical care at the facility. At this time, authorities have not released the identities of either individual involved, and further details regarding the condition of the surviving victim have not been made publicly available.

Following the shooting, law enforcement agencies initiated an intensive search operation to locate the suspect believed to be responsible for the attack. Investigators subsequently identified Khyseem Hall, aged 23, as the primary suspect in connection with the incident. Police later confirmed that Hall was apprehended in Philadelphia only hours after the shooting occurred and is expected to be extradited to Delaware, where he will face formal criminal charges. According to Wilmington Police Chief Wilfredo Campos, preliminary investigative findings suggest that the shooting was a targeted and isolated incident rather than a random act of violence. Authorities have emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing, with detectives continuing to gather evidence, review available surveillance material, and interview potential witnesses in order to establish a clearer understanding of the circumstances that led to the fatal encounter at the hospital.
